About the studio

Meet Money Reset Studio

A one-person studio (with a small editorial bench) building plain-language money plans for people who are tired of finance content that talks down to them. The flagship is The Money Reset — a focused 30-day plan that fits in a drawer.

The founder

Built by someone who has lived the same plan

Money Reset Studio is the work of a financial educator who rebuilt their own household budget after a career change, a cross-country move, and a stretch of freelance income that never quite matched the month before. The 30-day plan in The Money Reset is the same one that came out of that period — written down so other people could pick it up without having to live the same year first.

The studio is small on purpose. Every product is researched, written, edited, and shipped by the same small team — no agency, no ghostwriters, no investor deck shaping the roadmap. That is what keeps the writing plain and the plan honest.

Money Reset Studio

Plain-language money plans

Independent. Editorial-led. Built for the way real households actually budget.

What we believe

The three things every product has to get right

Money Reset Studio does not ship anything that does not pass these three bars. If a chapter reads like a textbook, we rewrite it. If a tip relies on guilt, we cut it.

Plain language

No jargon, no get-rich vocabulary. Every page reads like a conversation with a friend who happens to be good with money.

No shame, no hype

Money mistakes are common and almost always fixable. We meet you where you are — no lecture, no sales theatre, no urgency gimmicks.

Built for real life

Irregular income, side gigs, student loans, family on the line — the plan is designed for the months that are not perfectly predictable.

Origin story

How the studio came to be

Money Reset Studio started as a folder of Google Docs. The first version of The Money Reset was written for one friend — a freelancer who had just moved cities, taken on a new client, and quietly realized they had no idea how much was actually safe to spend each month. The plan that came out of that conversation worked, and the next friend asked for the same plan, and the one after that.

By the time a dozen people had asked, the folder had become a proper workbook. We gave it a cover, an order, and a printable layout — and the response was the same every time: a relief that the plan was small enough to actually finish, and plain enough to actually follow.

The studio exists to keep that going at a slightly larger scale. The Money Reset is still the centerpiece. Around it, we publish a weekly blog, support financial educators who want to recommend the plan to their clients, and run a small library of free tools (budget breakdowns, debt payoff calculators, a net-worth tracker) for anyone who needs a starting point before they are ready to buy.

There is no master plan to become a media company. The goal is narrower than that: keep writing the same kind of plan, keep editing it until it is genuinely useful, and stay small enough to reply to every email ourselves.
